I’m Kayleigh, the new Access Assistant at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery.
I started here as a volunteer, helping Becky Harvey, the Assistant Museum Officer with the collections audit. Working with Museum objects gave me an appreciation of what a powerful tool they can be for conveying memories, experiences or just finding things out that you didn’t know.
I am very excited to now be working alongside Camellia, the other Museum Access Assistant, and to have the opportunity to share with you some of the fantastic objects I have discovered in the collection. I hope to explore these further with you during our Hands on History sessions. During these sessions I’ll be available to let you get hands on with the objects and tell you all about them. Perhaps you’ll be able to tell me a lot more!
Our family Events Days are also very special. On these days Camellia and I can be found in one of the galleries leading our fantastic free Make ‘n’ Take workshops. Younger visitors (and grown ups!) can get stuck in making art, science and craft based activities.
I’m looking forward to seeing you soon.
