This week I’ve been busy rehearsing my script with the wonderful Rob Lister – it’s always great to see a script finally living and breathing ‘on its feet’.
We are constantly discovering new things about Melly as we slowly work through the script in detail and get to know him better. While I’m sure he would have approved of all the locations the play will be performed at* I think he would have been most amused that ‘Do What You Do’ is an agenda item and will be performed in front of Full Council in the Town Hall on 11th December. I do hope that we can do justice to an extraordinary lifetime of public service because Edward Ferdinand Melly certainly deserves his place in local history.
If you do catch one of the performances I’d love to know what you think so please leave your comments below.
