Museum Lunchtime Talk – still some places left!

There are still a few places remaining for our Lunchtime Talk, ‘Ayo Gurkhali, The Nepalese Gurkhas’ on Friday 15 February from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

Robert Fleming from the NationalArmyMuseum in London outlines the proud heritage of these famous soldiers and gives a taste of what it means to be chosen to serve with them.

This event is FREE but please remember to book your place in advance as places are limited. Call the Museum on 024 7635 0720 or pop in.

After the talk why not stay a while longer and see our exhibition ‘Bravest Of The Brave’? This is the culmination of a three month outreach project which has involved working with serving and retired Gurkhas and capturing the story of why these men from Nepal choose to serve and fight for Britain. Visitors can see a Gurkha ceremonial dress uniform, test their strength in the doko challenge and watch a specially commissioned film about former Gurkha Robin Rai.

The exhibition runs until 28 April
