Gurkha Project Boost

Gurkha Project Boost

Today Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery was proud to receive a complete Number 2  Dress Uniform from an ex Gurkha soldier. Former Gurkha Sergeant Robin Rai has kindly donated the uniform along with belt, shoes and Kukri. The uniform will form the centre piece of an exhibition we are putting together to highlight the celebrated role the Gurkha soldier has had in the British Army for the past 200 years.

If you are an ex Gurkha or have served with Gurkhas and think you might like to take part please contact Matt Johnson, Museum Outreach Officer on 024 7635 0720.

Did you know that Gurkhas have been awarded 13 Victoria Crosses for individual acts of bravery?
