Time for tea and cake!

Tea and cakes are out again at the museum, this time to say a farewell, although not for long, to one of our long serving Museum Assistants. (The wine in the picture was just a gift!) Linda has been working at the museum as a permanent member of staff for nearly 10 years greeting and looking after museum visitors during their visit and keeping the museum displays secure and looking great during opening hours.

Linda will now be working at the museum as a casual Museum Assistant which, unfortunately for us, means she will be reducing her hours and visitors will be seeing less of her. However, we wish Linda all the best with her newly acquired free time and look forward to those days in which see her back in the museum putting a smile on everyone’s face!

About janineclarefox

My name is Janine Fox and I am Assistant Museum Officer at Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery. My role is to care and document the museum collection. Working within a small team means I also help install exhibitions, carry out research for enquiries and assist with larger museum projects. What inspires me? Apart from tea and chocolate, I would say travel, photography, art and anything old with a story to tell! It will come as no surprise that I love my job; I work with objects, ensuring that they are looked after, made available for the public and that their stories are recorded for perpetuity.
